The PG County Mocha Moms Education Fairs are rooted in the belief that parents are essential partners in their children's education.
This work is guided by the legacy and mission of Occupy Schools™, a national initiative of Mocha Moms, Inc created to empower parents to be active, informed, and engaged advocates in their children's academic lives- at home, in schools, and throughout our communities.
Academic success begins at home. It is strengthened when parents are equipped with information, access, and the confidence to ask questions, build relationships and make informed decisions about their children's education.
Our Commitment
The Prince George's County Chapters of Mocha Moms Education Fair exists to:
- Promote meaningful parent involvement
in children’s academic lives
- Encourage parents to advocate confidently for their children and their communities
- Help close the achievement gap by increasing access to information, options, and opportunity
Studies consistently show that students thrive when parents are engaged—when families communicate regularly with teachers, understand school systems, attend school activities, monitor academic progress, and remain connected to the learning community.
This fair is one way we put that commitment into action.
